First in Family Fund Secures $40,000 CASA Grant for 5th Grade Academic Enrichment at PS 174Q Queens, NY – [August 1, 2025] – First in Family Fund, Inc. 501C3 is proud to announce it has been awarded a $40,000 CASA (Cultural After-School Adventures) Grant through the New York City Council to launch a dedicated academic enrichment program for 5th-grade students at PS 174Q – The William Sidney Mount School.

✨ This marks the first time PS 174Q has received a City Council CASA grant to support after-school enrichment programming.

The CASA-funded program will provide 5th-grade students with targeted academic support, including structured tutoring, guided homework help, and standards-aligned academic enrichment activities. The initiative is designed to reinforce classroom learning and equip students with the academic confidence and skills they need as they prepare for middle school.
